Here’s what you need to know to successfully cast your ballot:

May 4, 2026 is the last day to register to vote in the Pennsylvania Primary Election on May 19, 2026.

Polls are open on Tuesday, May 19, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Mail-in or absentee ballot

The deadline to request a mail-in or absentee ballot is 5:00 p.m. on May 12, 2026. Any registered voter may request a mail-in ballot. Absentee ballots can be requested by voters with disabilities or an illness that prevents them from going to their polling place on Election Day, or by those who will be absent from their municipality on Election Day.

Voter support services

The Philadelphia City Commissioners operate Satellite Election Offices (SEOs) in each of the city’s 10 Council Districts. These offices provide various voter support services, including registering to vote and applying for or submitting a mail-in or absentee ballot. Penn’s campus hosts eight polling divisions, located in Houston Hall, ARCH, and Civic House.

  • Ward 27, divisions 11, 18, 20, 21, and 22 are located in Houston Hall.
  • Ward 27, divisions 3 and 19 are located in ARCH.
  • Ward 27, division 5 is located in Civic House.
